Dr. Angela Bartee is an educator, advancement strategist, and consultant with a passion for empowering institutions and leaders to drive transformative impact through philanthropy and education. As Founder and Principal of First Guide Development Consulting, she partners with non-profit and corporate leaders to design and implement fundraising strategies that increase philanthropic revenue while strengthening mission-driven impact. She also equips faculty and emerging academic leaders with the skills to partner effectively with advancement teams, positioning them as powerful ambassadors for their institutions as they move into senior leadership roles.
Angela is equally passionate about expanding access to philanthropy. She works closely with alumni, fraternity, and sorority organizations to demystify the philanthropic process and inspire a culture of engagement and generosity. Her approach empowers individuals to see themselves as change agents, capable of creating opportunities for future generations through scholarships and institutional support.
Angela's work is grounded in both practice and scholarship. Angela holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership from William & Mary, where her research areas focused on student belonging and success among first-generation college students. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and is recognized for her ability to bridge strategy, storytelling, and relationship-building to achieve meaningful results.
